Tolko wins B.C. Export Award
Company recognized for its contribution to global trade
Vernon, BC - John Langley, Manager, Export Sales, accepted the award in the Primary Products and Resources category of the 25th annual BC Export Awards. The ceremony was held November 23, 2007, in Vancouver, British Columbia.
Tolko, along with the winners in seven other categories were recognized for outstanding contribution to economic growth, new investment, job creation and global trade.
The company’s sustainable success comes from strategic diversification in products and markets. The export group’s focus on top service and relationship building contribute to their growth in offshore markets, particularly Japan, China and Korea, explained Langley. “Customers appreciate the consistent innovation and extra effort put forward by both our sales and production groups,” Langley said.
Tolko now markets and ships solid wood, panel, and kraft paper products are now sold to over 30 countries worldwide.
Tolko Industries Ltd. is a private, Canadian-owned forest products company based in Vernon, British Columbia with over 4,500 employees.
