Meadow Lake OSB sets up for four shifts
[Meadow Lake, SK] January 19, 2009 - Meadow Lake OSB Limited Partnership announced that it intends to return its mill to a four-shift operation schedule beginning in April 2009.
Meadow Lake OSB Plant Manager Parker Snyder commended employees for their role in this announcement. “Our employees’ positive impact on the factors within their control significantly contributed to this decision,” said Snyder.
This decision also reflects improved stability in the markets for Meadow Lake OSB’s products and the depreciated Canadian dollar.
“The Saskatchewan Government is also to be commended for their support in providing an environment that allows for today’s decision,” said Brad Thorlakson, President, Tolko Marketing and Sales Ltd. “We appreciate their commitments to resolve long term wood supply issues, and their support for reliable and efficient transportation service.
The company will host a job fair at the Civic Centre in Meadow Lake, Saskatchewan, on February 7. Call (306) 236-0501 for more details or watch for local advertisements.
