Tolko High Prairie Division curtails production
High Prairie, Alberta - Tolko Industries Ltd., High Prairie Division is curtailing its production schedule due to continued poor market conditions.
Effective March 27, Tolko High Prairie moved to a reduced schedule including four days of maintenance followed by 10 days of production, reducing production capacity by approximately 25%. The first 4-day maintenance period is scheduled for April 2 to April 6. This schedule will continue until business conditions are more favorable.
Tolko Industries Ltd. is a private, Canadian-owned forest products company based in Vernon, British Columbia with over 4,500 employees. Tolko is a major producer and marketer of lumber, veneer, plywood, oriented strand board, and kraft papers, with manufacturing operations across Western Canada.
