Tolko Manitoba Kraft Papers
announces annual maintenance shutdown.
The Pas, MB – Tolko’s Kraft Paper mill
advised that their annual maintenance shutdown is scheduled for
the week of June 1, 2003.
This scheduled maintenance shutdown is necessary to
comply with all regulatory rules and completion of large-scale equipment
testing and maintenance. During the shutdown, boilers and pressure
vessels are inspected, and repaired if necessary, in accordance
with provincial regulations.
Greg Wazny, General Manager, Kraft Papers, says even
though the operation’s order file is strong, the maintenance
shutdown will secure the reliability of continuous operation going
forward.
Operations are anticipated to begin again on
June 7, 2003.
